The buggy is built on a 70 irs chassis, ball joint front end, and everything that can be rebuilt or bought new was done on it. It was shortened by a friend of mine and reinforced for those off road trips. The body is an original Manx 1 with a #2 hood I probally spent close to 100 hours filling all the holes and repairing the wear over 30 years. It was painted in my garage with a base coat of white followed by the yellow. The dash is made out of alumiumn polished complete set of vdo gauges speedo, gas, tach, oil pressure, oil temp and volt. The motor is basically a bone stock 1600dp with an alternator. The tires are 15" all the way around M/T's in the rear. The rims are steel chrome spokes with caps converted to studs.
It took me almost a year to completly redo the Manx. But the enjoyment in driving it makes it more than worthwhile. Special thanks to you Dave, Winnie Jim Guthrie and Rick Doyle and Dino without you I would probally still building it. Dennis #819 alias Duneman
